Caramel apples!

This crisp, chilly air is already making it feel more like fall! We are so excited. Our store is bursting with our favorite fall candies like candy corn, pumpkin fudge, and of course caramel apples!

We get our apples from Melick's Town Farm. They are the largest apple farm in New Jersey and right up the road from us! We are so thankful to be able to provide their farm fresh apples covered in our delicious caramel and chocolate to our customers.

First we prep the apples. We wash and dry each apple to make sure the caramel will stick to a clean surface. Next we pierce each apple with a wooden stick to make it easier for dipping and for eating.

Then we make our buttery caramel. This takes about an hour to cook. Butter, sugar, cream, & vanilla make up this gorgeous treat. The apples are dipped once the caramel has reached the perfect temperature. It is very hot and bubbly and we have to move very quickly to ensure we do not over cook it.

Wow, those are some beautiful apples! Next we add toppings! Cinnamon crunch, pecan praline, roasted peanuts and roasted coconut are our favorite! You can get them dipped in milk or dark chocolate too. The options are endless! Hey, you can even just get a plain caramel apple too, if that's your thing!

These apples make a wonderful dessert and are precious gifts to your new teachers! If you've never had a Fudge Shoppe caramel apple, you need to get one soon! Come in today! We'd love to see you!
