Easter at The Fudge Shoppe

Did you know that the 'Chocolate Easter Bunny' originated in Germany in the 19th century, and were given to the children to celebrate the upcoming spring season? Hollow Easter bunnies were made during the cocoa ration during WWII so candy makers could still make the same beautiful moulds while using less chocolate.

Easter is our busiest holiday at The Fudge Shoppe, as it is the nations second largest candy holiday following Halloween. Can you guess why we are so busy? Could it be the thousands of chocolate bunny rabbits we mould? Could it be the hundreds of colorful Easter baskets we put together? What about the coconut & peanut butter eggs that we shape by hand?! Marshmallow eggs, as well as peanut butter or coconut marshmallows that we delicately hand pipe?! Jelly beans? Malted eggs? Foiled bunnies? Peeps? You name it! We've got it! We're your number one spot for Easter goodies & you can even order on our website!!

Most holidays have now turned into candy holidays. Halloween is the largest candy holiday in the US but not for our store. Halloween is the beginning of our busy season which runs from October-April, followed by Mothers Day, Fathers Day & all of the summer wedding favors we make. Thanksgiving is filled with caramel apples, foiled leaves, and chocolate turkeys. Christmas is the holiday for gift boxes and towers, fudge, foiled presents & chocolate santas. Valentines is full of foiled hearts, custom chocolate filled heart boxes, & delicious truffles. St Patricks Day even has candy! Foiled shamrocks, chocolate shamrock lollipops, chocolate baskets filled with gold coins, & even Irish Potatoes!

There are many more candy holidays but these are just a few!

By far, Easter is a holiday that most people celebrate with candy. Whether you're buying Easter baskets for the grandchildren, or small bunny rabbits for party favors, there's going to be some sort of delicious candy at your Easter celebration. For the past 50+ years our store just keeps getting busier and busier, especially during Easter, making it our biggest holiday! It's such a fun time of year! You'll find our store full of so many options that are just so beautiful and bright, welcoming you into Spring. We even have a 3 foot rabbit which is sure to please a crowd!!
