"The Greatest People We've Ever Had"

  If you've ever been introduced to our team, they're often described as "the greatest people we've ever had". This is SO true and something we all hear on a daily basis (thank you Rich!)  Hearing this phrase constantly builds us up as employees because our role is to serve our customers and to treat them like the greatest people we've ever had, because they are! We like to believe this statement is true on both sides of the counter.

So you may have heard that the shoppe is owned and run by Mr. Burry. Ya' know, the little old guy with his hand in chocolate?! Well yes, he and his wife were the founders of the beloved Fudge Shoppe. They opened it in 1962. With the help of their children, extended family, and many others who feel like family, they've created an incredible culture that is one of a kind. The shoppe has grown so much in the past 55 years and many people are to thank for this.

When you first enter our doors, you are greeted with a friendly "hello, how are you?" This is our thing. We love embracing our customers the second we meet them. You are often met with the question "is this your first time here?" We love giving out a sample for you to enjoy, most likely our famous fresh dipped chocolate covered raspberry. We meet new customers on a daily basis and its amazing to see them experience the shoppe for the first time. We also serve regulars on a daily or weekly and that is just INCREDIBLE! We get to know our customers by name, by their order, or when they order over the phone! We want our shoppe to be your candy store. It's really a magical experience.

We recently got this amazing machine for us to bag candy! If you've ever been in our store, you have definitely seen us bagging candy with a metal scoop and weighing each bag individually. We have upgraded to this wonderful machine because it's 100% necessary. It helps us to be more efficient, especially during the busy holidays. It's a team effort because while one person is bagging, another person is heat sealing the product & labeling it. I'm amazed at how much candy passes through our store during the Easter season. We can only achieve greatness through the spectacular effort of our employees.

We really do have the greatest people we've ever had.
